The Pond at Central Park: NYC Proposal Location Profile

This spot might be ideal for you if: you want the Central Park experience (water, rocks, trees) while also being super close to the towering skyscrapers of 57th Street. You also might not mind a bit of a crowd (depending on the time of day).

Located near the park’s southeastern corner, the straightforwardly named Pond at Central Park is one of the most popular sites in all of Central Park. Of all the spots in the park, the Pond is far and away the one for which I receive the most proposal shoot inquiries. Showcasing incredible views of Central Park South’s Billionaires’ Row, and featuring the one-of-a-kind Gapstow Bridge, it’s no wonder this area is such a big hit!

With its grandeur does come large crowds, especially during the holiday season (which also happens to be busy season for proposals in NYC). If you’re hoping for a more intimate experience at this location, I would recommend coming early in the morning.
