Central Park Conservatory Garden: NYC Proposal Location Profile
This spot might be ideal for you if: you want a truly immersive Central Park experience surrounded by greenery and colorful flowers.
After the completion of an extensive restoration project, the Central Park Conservatory Garden is now fully reopened!
This iconic Central Park landmark can be found not far from the northeast corner of the park (more specifically between 103rd - 106th off of 5th Ave).
Fun fact: the Conservatory Garden is made up of three unique (but interconnecting) sections, each one showcasing a different European style:
French Garden - the northern-most of the three gardens
Italian Garden - the central garden, and probably the most well-known
English Garden - the southern-most of the three gardens
I’ve had the opportunity to photograph a number of proposal and engagement shoots within the confines of the garden, with my personal favorite section being the English Garden. The Burnett Fountain area is simply stunning, and there are so many off-shoot paths framed entirely by greenery and flowers, most of which are relatively quiet.
As far as timing goes, I would recommend either morning or evening golden hour.
